Catching the Vision
One of the major aspects of the Lord Jesus Christ’s ministry on earth was His outreach to people with disabilities. He repeatedly extended invitations for individuals with disabilities to enter the kingdom of God through the gift of salvation. Likewise, we who are Christians today are called to follow in our Lord’s footsteps in reaching out to people with disabilities. |
Modeling Ministry
Disability ministry enables the church to serve as a model to the community for meeting the needs of people with disabilities:
- Spiritually (through Bible study and discipleship)
- Physically (building a ramp, providing transportation, helping with errands)
- Socially (friendships and doing activities together)
- Emotionally (fulfillment and inner joy)

Disability ministry, no matter the size, remains the same: small ordinary acts of kindness expressed by one person to another are the building blocks to success. The ultimate goal is that God is glorified in the eyes of both believers and unbelievers. |
