PRAYING OUR TEARS
Psalm 126

There are several different categories of Psalms in the Bible, but the largest category by far are called lamentations. These are the psalms of tears, psalms of weeping and crying and grieving. What are we to do with our tears? We're told three things:

1. Expect Your Tears
"Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev." (Psalm 126:4)

2. In vest Your Tears
"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy." (Psalm 126:5)
"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17)

3. Pray Your Tears
"Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy." (Psalm 126:6)

As you pray through your tears, hold onto these things:
a) A realization of his grace
b) A vision of the cross
c) An assurance of glory
