Children's Church and Family Sundays
Wednesday, 22 July 2009 17:05
Carrie Montz
Children's Church is a ministry to children Kindergarten through 6th grade where we share prayer requests, play games, learn about heroes of the Christian faith, as well as clearly presenting the gospel. Children's Church meets in room 110 immediately following the music time of the worship gathering. Children are dismissed before the sermon to walk to the end of the hall in the main building for children's church. As the worship gathering ends, children are dismissed to find their parents either from room 110 or the playground.
However, on Family Worship Sunday families are able to spend a Sunday together for a special family time. On these Sundays, children will be able to hear a family-friendly sermon, experience the Lord's Table with their family, and witness baptisms together. Children's bulletins with a Bible lesson and activities are available each week.

So You Have a Preschooler...

We love preschoolers at MCBC. We offer childcare for Infants through Preschool during Sunday School and Worship Service. Friendly caregivers will receive your child in their classrooms. The Infant Class (Room 108) is available for very small children, the Walker Class (Room 106) is for those children who are more mobile, and the Preschool Class (Room 104) is for children in this age range. Each classroom has volunteers who have had a background check. We want to offer a safe and caring environment for your child, as we teach them the seeds of the Christian faith. Each child will need a diaper bag with diapers and a change of clothes, just in case. If your child needs a comfort item, such as a toy or a sippy cup, please label these items with the child's name. Also, please let the caregivers know if your child has any allergies or if you have any special instructions concerning your child.

Catching the VisionOne of the major aspects of the Lord Jesus Christ’s ministry on earth was His outreach to people with disabilities. He repeatedly extended invitations for individuals with disabilities to enter the kingdom of God through the gift of salvation. Likewise, we who are Christians today are called to follow in our Lord’s footsteps in reaching out to people with disabilities. |
Modeling MinistryDisability ministry enables the church to serve as a model to the community for meeting the needs of people with disabilities:
- Spiritually (through Bible study and discipleship)
- Physically (building a ramp, providing transportation, helping with errands)
- Socially (friendships and doing activities together)
- Emotionally (fulfillment and inner joy)
|
|
Disability ministry, no matter the size, remains the same: small ordinary acts of kindness expressed by one person to another are the building blocks to success. The ultimate goal is that God is glorified in the eyes of both believers and unbelievers. |

Collide’s purpose is to help students to know and grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. We are an active, intentionally deep teaching ministry that spurs students on to live out their relationship with God in their daily lives.
· Our youth ministry has cutting edge worship where students are given the opportunity to praise God with their friends. · We have small group ministries that help us to train up our students while building meaningful relationships with them. · Activities throughout the year include weekly youth group, summer camp, retreats, game nights, conferences, and service projects. · We strive to be a student ministry that stretches to reach outside to the community of students living around us by offering events that help us to build relationships that shine out the love of God.· We have a committed group of adult leaders who are gifted to share their lives with the students.
