Mid Cities has been the church home for Leigh Ann and me since1981. Our sons, Brad and Garrett, grew up here and are active in the music ministry, as is their mom. Although I taught my sonsto play the guitar, for some reason they don’t let me up on stage to play andsing with them on Sunday mornings!
I have served as an elder for a number of years and I amcurrently on my second stint as the Executive Pastor of the church. While working in the health careindustry for about 20 years, I always felt the call to serve in the localchurch, so serving on the board, leading small groups and teaching adulteducation have been a huge part of my life. Over time, I felt the call to pursue fulltime ministryand wanted to bring my administrative and leadership experiences to the church. While the change from theexecutive level of the health care industry has had its challenges, I believe Iam fulfilling my call by God to pastor and lead here at Mid Cities. I have a special interest in financialcounseling and educating others on God’s principals of stewardship.
Leigh Ann and I enjoy antiquing and getting out-of-doors. We are always open to a trip out toCanton Trade Days, so give us a call if there is room in your vehicle! My hobbies include hunting, theshooting sports and hanging out with my sons at Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops. Leigh Ann is the artistic one in ourmarriage. She enjoys drawing, sewing (especially quilting), drafting plans for furniture projects, woodworking, and working in the yard at home. She currently sings on the Praise Team at church and feelsespecially blessed to serve in this area of ministry.
Mid Cities is truly our extended family, for whom we arevery appreciative.
