Our Senior Pastor, Larry was raised in Texas and Southern California. He has served in a broad range of teaching and pastoral roles and highly values the ministry team of Mid Cities Bible Church.  He and his wife, Teresa, have four children and six young grandchildren.  Larry attended Evangelical Christian College, the University of Minnesota, California Graduate School of Theology, Western Baptist Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary and Southwestern Baptist Seminary . He has earned Bachelor of Arts, Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. He has research specialties in biblical studies, theological studies, and contemporary church growth. To round out this background, he also engages in the hobby of woodworking and racing pigeons. Really! No, we are not kidding! In a world of alienation and conflict within and without, Dr. Lucas wants people to feel they have "come home" the first time they walk through the door of Mid Cities Bible Church.
