Julie Cecil is the Children’s Education Director at Mid-Cities Bible Church. She has been involved in children’s ministry since 1996, when God called her to the ministry while attending college at Stephen F. Austin State University. While at college, she led a weekly missions team of university students to minister to the children of Nacogdoches. Through college, she was a children’s ministry intern in Athens, TX and spent time as an inner-city missionary to the children and families in Houston, TX. After graduating with a Liberal Arts degree in Humanities, Julie returned to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. There, God led her to serve as a preschool/children’s minister at a local Fort Worth church for three years. She graduated seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Education with an emphasis in children. Since then, she has conducted training conferences, led children crusades in conjunction with revivals, and ministered to children of all ages and backgrounds. She is excited to serve the Lord at Mid-Cities through children’s ministry and anticipates His hand continuing the work He started in her life.
