COVENANT OF FELLOWSHIP

Having received Christ as my Savior and having been baptized, I declare my agreement with MCBC's statements, strategy and structure. I am in agreement with the essential doctrines of the church, which state that:

1. The Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God.
2. God eternally exists as one essence and three persons, equal in nature and subordinate in function
3. Jesus Christ is undiminished deity and perfect humanity. He was born of a virgin, physically died, physically rose again, and will physically return for His Followers.
4. Eternal life comes only through trust in the finished work of Christ and is offered by God, completely by His grace, and without any human merit.
5. Our hope is in the literal return of Christ who will set all of creation in order and judge the living and the dead.

I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with Mid Cities Bible Church and declare my covenant to its leadership and members. By this declaration, I commit myself to God and to the church family to do the following:

I will commit my time to the fellowship
...by attending worship on a regular basis
...by actively participating in church functions
...by praying for the leadership and ministry programs

I will serve the Church with my unique "S.H.A.P.E."
...by identifying and regularly exercising my spiritual gifts
...by allowing ministry leaders to equip me for ministry
...by contributing to ministries where God has gifted and called me

I will build the Church of Jesus Christ
...by protecting the unity of the body
...by being active in church ministries
...by having a servant's heart toward other people
...by inviting guests and welcoming those who visit
...by assisting in the assimilation of new members

I will support the Church with my Resources
...by giving financial offering on a regular basis
...by sharing my time and talents with the church
